Minister- Usually a priest, a bishop or a deacon but in an emergency any Christian can preform Baptism.
Rite-
Baptism should usually take place on a Sunday, in the presence of the faithful. Parents, Godparents and relatives should all be present. The minister will do a series of actions in the following order. Before the baptism even truly begins the minister will say a few prayers ask the parents and godparents a few questions and then say the prayer of exorcism. Next the minister will anoint the recipient with catechumen oil. Following that the minister will bless the baptismal water. The profession of faith will be said and the minister will baptize the individual by pouring the water three times over the head as he says the words, " I baptize you in the name of the Father of the Son and of the Holy Spirit." After that the individual is blessed with chrism oil, the white garment is acknowledged and the baptismal candle is lit. Then Communion is administered and a few final blessings are said. The concluding rite is pronounced and the baptism ends.
